Awesome Misspelled URLs

One of my favorite things is when you misspell a URL and the website you get is somehow related to the one you meant, but obviously just some savvy webtrepreneur. I mention this because the Toothpaste For Dinner link I had was incorrect and instead took you to toothepastefordinner.com, with an E after tooth. It was just a redirect site to animation.art.biz, which is basically nothing. It reminded me of whether.com which is just a two-frame page- the top frame contains a banner advertisement and the bottom frame contains weather.com. If you go to waether.com, it redirects you to accuweather.com, thus establishing Accuweather as the weather for people with dyslexia, sloppy typing, and bad spelling. (Incidentally, the weather for these types of people is strikingly similar to the weather for good spellers, accurate typists, and those that are not dyslexic.)

Unfortunately, wether.com, which I thought was the most likely site to have some meteorological theme, is not really related to storms and stuff at all. Personally, I just type my zip code and weather into Google.

  • I agree with you. This type of projects should be encouraged and I think that these type of projects are the projects for the future. . . . .
