I just wanted to mention that the Party Downers show at the Double door was great. “Can’t Get Kissed” is steadily rising in the ranks of my personal favorite Party Downers songs. Also, a touring band from LA, Van Gunn, opened. They… well, they’re not very good. That’s not accurate. I don’t like their songs at all. And they put the funny hat on the bassist; everyone knows the funny hat is supposed to go on the guitarist, especially when you’re a Guns’n’Roses tribute band. Anyhow, I don’t know if they said it, or if we made it up, but word was that they were from Amsterdam? I don’t know what the deal with that was, but MySpace says LA, which makes more sense. Though if they were from Amsterdam I might almost like them because they couldn’t be blamed for being… well, a Guns’n’Roses tribute band.  (Update: They ARE from Amsterdam, but they moved to LA.  Why do people move to LA?  So I’m not sure how I feel about them.)

Seeking also played. The did some recording with Lopez that sounds pretty good. I didn’t stick around for the whole set cause my ride was leaving, and I had already spent all my money. Good show though. Almost as good as Jeanette. (Actually, like i mentioned earlier and the video proves, Jeanette kinda sucked live.)
