my sister- the replacements

man oh man. so i said i was not going to update this until my sister updated hers, but it looks like that aint gonna happen cause she has important things to do.. well i’m sick of waiting around for her. so i am going to add a few things.

i finally was able to take the replacements TIM off my record player, so now I’m listening to the dickies- a very underrated punk rock band with a rad singer. anyhow, who care. this song wont go too much longer, so soon it will be something else. so i’ve been unemployed, quote unquote…. for a month now and it is starting to drive me crazy. Though I am slowly getting better at it. I’ve been painting a little bit- I actually even finished a painting the other day and I was actually happy with the result. That is a rare occurance. and I am reading a big non fiction book- a biography of walt whitman.

if you ever wondered “was walt whitman really gay?” you were wondering the wrong question. you should have been asking “was walt whitman really tar and feathered and run out of town for having an indecent relationship with one of his male students?” The first of those questions popped into my head once when I first started reading Leaves of Grass, somewhere around Children of Adam.. After reading the biography, I think that it’s a moot point.

also, i’ve been getting way into wikipedia. I love it. I especially love fixing grammar and stupid orthographical errors, if that is indeed what they are called. I have spent probably more than a million years just clicking on the random entry button. you learn all sorts of things.

final note- kelsey grammar has been married to/had children with -a stripper -a dancer -a makeup artist and -a softcore porn actress (his current wife). Not that it matters much, but its hard to imagine dr. frasier krane dating any of those types. Also, KG does a PSA cause his wife, the ex-SCPA, has IBS. go figure.

Wow, thats a weird coincidenc. I have also been concurrently spending lots of time using wikipedia. Its weird that our behaviors both converged simultaneously like that. I like reading about ancient civilizations, languages and relilgions such as the Pelasgians, Parthians, Khazars, Zoroastrainism, Proto-Indo European…. well you get the idea.

weird. yeah, the language this is a constant thing for me too. but that’s something that gets in my way all the time, I can hardly go to the bookstore without getting some dumb language book. i found out that there is racism in japan- apparently there are like 100k that are not ethnic japanese, mostly the ainu in the north. they’ve got their own language.
