so i lost my job today. don’t worry about it much though, cause when I lose a job it is not the same thing as thousands of car makers losing their jobs or anything like that, it just means I will be bored again until i find another job. being bored has its perks though. you get the same feeling of accomplishment as you do when you are at work, even you work where I worked, but you feel more responsible for it, like you somehow earned your boredom by being a 21st century digital boy who doesn’t have to do anything if he doesn’t want to.

it makes me wonder what period in time saw the first widespread use of the word boredom in its present sense. I mean, i am sure that people have been bored for centuries, and people in the upper, ruling class, aristocrats you know, they could be bored, but i dont think that the common man has had the luxury to be bored for all that long. you never know though, maybe they got bored while they were doing something else, like watering the plants or something, bu I feel like its hard to be bored while actually doing nothing. millenia of human ingenuity has led to the priveledge of boredom. thank you, galileo and newton and einstein and all those who came befre. I will be bored, but I will think of you.

in other news, i took all the cds out of my car today. I usually try only to keep as many in there as will fit in teh center console cd holder thing, but recnetly I have not been as good about taking some out when I bring others in. So today I pulled about 20 from the car, an dnow I have the task of putting them back in their proper places on the shelf, which is a bit difficult. i guess boredom breeds hobbies, which is something. it’s something.

the onion this week is pretty funny. god for the onion. my sister is also funny.
