well another day passes and here i sit, in front of my laptop in an old kitchen chair at an old kitchen table, when there is a perfectly fine desktop across the room with a nice plush office chair. the idea when i first bought my laptop is that i would use it to go write papers because i am so easily distracted when i am at home. anyhow, now that i am working a real job, i still do not want to do any real work at the desk, so i put myself in an uncomfortable position because it somehow seems more fit to work. it is like those monks back in the day who lived in terrible tiny little cloisters, but were so busy making copies of the bible and breeding bean plants, saving the world for the future. that is me. saving the world for the future.
anyhow, i am going to be up all night doing this project. i watched a pretty fair amount of cspan today, people from the 9-11 commission doing some chatting with some representatives. all the reps did a good job talking about what a good job they themselves were doing to fight terrorism before the big blast and how all the commissions ideas were ideas they already had in 2000 and before. i thought that was neat, i guess.
one guy made a joke during the presentation and questioning. it was funny, but i was thinking it would be weird to make a joke in that hearing, cause it is not the funniest thing. i wonder how long it took on capitol hill for people to think they could start making jokes again.
i saw george bush on tv talking to people in virginia. my favorite things– his pausing for a solid second as he pondered how to pronounce the word methodology, and then stuttering it out, one painful syllable at a time. then he talked about the organization he worked for… the federal guvmnt. i dont like picking on people for things that we already know they are terrible at, but it is cute, somehow.
i make my cat jump onto the kitchen counter to get at her food, but she is fat and has short stubby legs so she cant jump very well so she pretty much doesnt eat unless i lift her up. but i dont lift her up often, hoping that eventually she will lose enough weight to be able to make the jump, but it is probably futile. she just struggled to get on top of a chair that is about two feet off the ground. she is looking at me. she thinks purring and other cat stuff will make me lift her up to her food, but i am to busy giving her tough love to notice how cute and feline she is.
well, there should be a make or break #2 pretty soon. thats cool. once that happens this log will be more about trying to sell records and less about trying to impose weight loss programs on dumb cats.
anyhow, about darts. my brother in law and i played today. he beat me once and i beat him once and then in the final game he barely edged me out. beat me by one point when i needed just one bullseye to win. i like cricket.
hooray for brettlog and overweight kitties! :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:  :doze: :doze:
