Could tonight be the night Obama announces his choice for VP?

I can’t imagine someone more awesome. Well… no, I can’t.

That said, I can’t imagine Gore taking it, but if he was humble enough, I think the country would be better off. He’s got clout, people know him, he’s got experience, he’s a white dude. He’s not an outsider, but at the same time he kinda feels like one. He’s a Vietnam vet. He was right about Iraq. He’s got an Oscar, a Nobel, an Emmy (sorta), and he invented the Internet. Pretty much. He’s also got experience in the legislature so he could help push Obama’s agenda there. Man. That would be awesome. The more I think about it, really, the more I am reminded that he should actually be President, but I fear that ship has sailed.. But, like I said, it would be awesome.

That said, a solid case could be made that Gore has bigger fish to fry than the kitchen of the Naval Observatory could handle. Blood&Gore, for example… That still exists, doesn’t it? And Current? And being on the board of Apple? I don’t know if he still does all that stuff… but man… what a guy!

He says “I intend to do whatever I can to make sure he is elected President of the United States.”  Including joining the ticket?  We’ll see…
