Somehow or another, I got to watching Beavis and Butthead tonight on YouTube.  That got old really quickly; those guys are terribly annoying.  But it did remind me of how much I liked Daria, so I watched a couple episodes.  In one of them, it featured the song “Your Woman” by White Town (who were more than a one-hit wonder, accordng to some sources.  I’m skeptical).  Some people who were in high school in 1997 will probably remember that song.  Maybe other people too.  I didn’t remember it, so I had to look it up, which brought me to this site: a directory of all Daria episodes with their scene by scene soundtracks.  As I went through it, I realized it actually has a pretty sweet soundtrack.  Maybe I’ll go buy a couple seasons of it so I can enjoy all that late 90’s alt rock.

UPDATE:

I went to go see if I could find Daria on DVD, and they ony have the two “movies” on dvd- anything else you see is a pirated copy.  So that’s a shame, but it’s not shocking, considering how hard it would probably be to get all the music rights.  Apparently one the few official VHS tapes, a lot of the songs were replaced.  So I guess my best bet to hear those songs again (not that I’m really all that concerned) is to just download the songs and show as I can.  So..  word.  There’s one of those corny online petitions to have it released on DVD, but I’m pretty sure those never work.
