I just saw the Mint Chicks. They are as awesome as I had hoped. I may go to LI to see them tomorrow, but iI am not sure. They played a lot of old songs, so I was stoked on that.  I still haven’t heard very much of thhe new record, though I did pick it up. It was rad. Enough said.  The picture, unfortunately, is no good.

UPDATE: I did, in fact, go to Long Island to see them.  Party because I wanted to see them again, but they were playing with Donna & Carly, and Carly’s a friend of mine.   When I got there, the Mint Chicks and the Prayers hadn’t arrived yet, so the show was delayed.  That ended up being awesome, because Tom, who’s in Slingshot Dakota with Carly, was there and they played a handful of songs while we waited.  It was the first time I’d seen Slingshot since they became a two-piece.  Though it was a lot different, it was still awesome.  Tom’s one of my favorite drummers to watch.  So Slingshot Dakota was good, Donna and Carly were good, the Prayers were god, the Mint Chicks were good.  Great night in Long Island.
