Lots o’ Work to Do…

Saturday , 2, September 2006 8 Comments

Well, We have finally gotten this entire thing started. Labor Day Weekend, 2006. 2508Frank was purchased about three weeks ago, and things have finally gotten started. As you can see, 2508Frank is a yellow two flat with a sweet black awning and a nice wooden porch.

Three weeks ago, when 2508Frank was first purchased, it was in pretty good shape, but it needed a haircut, some situps and pushups and just in general to get a lot more exercise. These are the things that are on the list of what needs to be done.

  • Ten year old carpeting in the upstairs and downstairs needs to be pulled up. Actually, that’s already been done.
  • Something needs to be done about the vinyl tile underneath the carpeting. Once that is pulled up, there’s actually some nice hardwood floor underneath it that can hopefully be refinished and made looking awesome again.
  • Backyard needs serious landscaping.
  • The basement needs to repainted. Actually, the whole interior needs a good coat of paint, but there’s a sweet picture of the terrible paint job in the basement.
  • The electric needs to be upgraded.
  • Windows need to be resealed.
  • The window sills need to be refinished. They are totally falling apart.
  • The upstairs needs updating. It’s got a pretty sweet Home Depot look now, but come on.So there’s probably a whole lot more that needs to be done, but that’s a start. Here’s a page that has all the pictures that were taken today, so you can look around and get a feel for bits and pieces of it.

john- I didnt realize that I did not allow anonymous comments. that’s kind of a bummer and sort of autocratic. I’m going to change that now.
